Happy Halloween!
You spent about an hour in your first costume. It was a chili pepper bunting with a stem hat. You were adorable, and one of the ladies at church stole you to show you off to people for a while.
You go to bed at 7, and you let us know when it's time for bed by starting to fuss and cry. So we change you into a super diaper for night, put you in a footed sleeper, and wrap you up tight in a blankie. We put you in your swing, start up your ocean sounds, and put in your sucky. We then replace the sucky as many times as needed while you cry it out and fall asleep. Tonight we replaced it once. You were a tired baby.
We love you so much and talk all the time about how great it is to have you around.
Much love,
Mama
PS - You went into the swimming pool for the first time yesterday! You were wearing a swim diaper, and you tolerated it for about 3 minutes before starting to cry, when we got out and changed and went home.

You rolled over today, from back to front, at your last yoga class. Your mom exclaimed, "My baby just rolled over for the first time!"
We ordered a swimming diaper for you yesterday. We'll see if you get into the pool soon...

I think we just caught your first giggle on video. I think. I may have laughed right over it back at you.
Some songs we sing:
1) The burple song. "Burples, burples, burples for my baby / Burples, burples, burples for my girl." to the tune of... a classical fanfare.
2) Song I made up when you were about 2 days old. "Boopdie doopdie doopdie doopdie doopdie doopdie baby (girl) (Lara) (doo / daughter)

What we call you: Lara Girl, Lara Baby, Smelly Little Monkey, Sweetie Pie, Miss Poopypants. You like eating, smiles, your inchworm, the star on your playmat that plays music. You spend the first part of every night in your Ocean Wonders Swing going back and forth. It has a fish mobile that we call "your fishies," and it plays the sound of ocean waves. We put you in a big diaper, put you in something to sleep in, wrap you up in a muslin swaddling blanket, and put your sucky toy in your mouth. You sleep well in your swing, then you come to bed with us. Last night, you spent from about 10:30 to 1:30 in your co-sleeper for the first time. The nights until then, you've spent every night in bed with us.
